Watermelon III 5 color lithograph printed from 2 stones by the artist at the University of New Mexico Lithography Department. Edition of 8 lithographs, and a few artist proofs. 19.25 x 25.325"
This is my first lithograph to use a drawing material which I grew to love - rubbing crayon. Ink from the rubbing crayon is rubbed onto a cloth wrapped around the artist's finger, and then rubbed onto the grain of the stone. The technique produces smooth areas of tone which show off the stone grain and can support other drawing as well.
